§ SERVICES / CAPABILITIES

What we do
and how well.

We customize any part of your ride — or the whole thing. Our focus is the surface and the cabin: paint, bodywork, and interiors done to a standard you can see up close.

Custom Paint & Body

Straight metal is everything. We correct dents, rust, and panel gaps, block-sand to a true surface, then lay custom color and cut-and-buff to a mirror depth that holds up under a show light.

Bespoke Interiors

The cabin is where you live with the car. We build interiors to order — upholstery, trim, headliners, and the small fabricated details — so the inside matches the finish outside.

Bring us a vision and a vehicle. We manage the whole transformation — body, paint, and interior together — from first sketch to the day you turn the key.

Restoration & Revival

Great bones deserve another life. We bring tired classics back — metalwork, refinishing, and a careful detail — with respect for what made them special.

§ 05Common Questions
How long does a custom build or restoration take?

It depends entirely on scope. An exterior-only refresh — body and paint, no interior — can run around 3 months. A full ground-up custom build, where every system gets touched, has taken us as long as 35 months. Most projects fall somewhere in between; we'll give you a real timeline estimate once we've scoped your vehicle.

Can you keep a car's original patina instead of repainting it?

Yes — patina preservation is something we do intentionally, not as a shortcut. On projects like our 1970 Ford F-250, we cleaned up and cut back the original paint rather than resprayed it, while still doing a full mechanical rebuild underneath. If you want a vehicle that looks its age but drives like new, that's a real option, not just a restoration we didn't finish.

Do you only take on full custom builds, or can I get just paint, just an interior, or just a mechanical job done?

Scope is flexible. We've done exterior-only jobs (body and paint, nothing else touched), interior-only fabrication, and everything in between, alongside full ground-up builds. Tell us what you actually want done and we'll scope exactly that — we don't upsell projects into bigger builds than you asked for.

What's the difference between a restoration and a custom build?

A restoration brings a vehicle back to (or better than) its original condition — metalwork, refinishing, detailing, with respect for what made it special. A full custom build is a ground-up transformation where we manage body, paint, and interior together, often with a different look or drivetrain than the vehicle started with. Which one fits depends on whether you want to preserve the car's original character or reinvent it.

Where is Scoville Motorworks located, and do you work with clients outside the area?

The shop is in Redmond, WA (9135 Willows Rd NE). Most of our clients are in the Pacific Northwest, but we've taken on projects for owners further out — get in touch and we can talk through logistics for your specific vehicle.

How do I start a project or get a quote?

Send us a note through the contact form with your vehicle and what you have in mind. We reply within 24 hours to start scoping the project — there's no obligation, and the first conversation is free.
